Hillel House: Kitchen Volunteering

Hillel at Davis and Sacramento was established in 1965 to provide a home away from home for hundreds of Jewish college students studying in the area at the time. Today, our Hillel serves thousands of UC, Cal State, and community college students in the Davis and Sacramento area. Hillel House has kitchen volunteer slots up until December 3rd.
Covid-19 Safety Protocols:
  • Proof of vaccination will be required for all events.
  • If you have a medical exemption, be prepared to show proof of a negative test completed within the last four days before entering the building.
  • Masks are required indoors except when eating.
  • All Hillel events will require pre-event registration.
  • All Hillel staff are vaccinated.

COVID Community Care Volunteer App

COVID Community Care Care is a program that seeks to help medical workers by providing free babysitting, online tutoring, grocery, and pharmacy pickups to Sacramento families in need. If you want to be part of the solution, please visit their website www.covidcommunitycare.org to learn more and how you can apply to volunteer.
There is no deadline for application and new volunteers are always welcomed. You can decide how many hours you want to volunteer.
Some benefits of volunteering for this program include:
  • pride and satisfaction that you helped your community during a crisis
  • community service opportunity
  • being a part of something bigger than yourself
Feel free to email them at covidcc.sacramento@gmail.com if you have any questions. They will contact you as they receive your application.
